An open casting call for the fifth season of The CW’s ‘Beauty and the Geek’ will be held Saturday at University Book Store.

“It’s a good fit getting students in here, seeing us in a different light and as fun and willing to do different events,” Lambert-Conohan said. “I hope this opens the door to students approaching us with fun ideas since we are definitely willing to work with students on events.” UW-Madison senior Perri Wisotsky, who plans to attend the casting call, found out about it through Facebook. She said she watches the show and recently met season four contestant Joshua Green while in Arizona for Thanksgiving break and was intrigued by his post-show local celebrity status. “It looked fun and it seems really cool to do a television show as well as represent my campus,” said Wisotsky, who also tried out for MTV’s “The Real World” when they held a casting call at State Bar two years ago. The CW will be at The University Book Store from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. this Saturday, and is expecting “a couple hundred people,” according to Lambert-Conohan. Along with The CW representatives, season three contestant Andrew Sawa is attending the casting call. Attendees must be 21 years or older to try out.
