A battery reportedly involving a UW-Madison student occurred outside a residence hall early Friday morning, according to a UW-Madison Crime Warning issued Saturday afternoon.
The warning said the UW-Madison Police Department received the report Saturday and are actively investigating the incident. The suspect and victim are not known to each other, according to the report.
UWPD encouraged the UW-Madison community to always be aware of their surroundings and to call 911 if they observe something they feel is dangerous.
Anyone with information regarding Friday’s incident is encouraged to contact police.
