Sophomore wide receiver Danny Davis has been suspended for the first two games of the season Wisconsin head coach Paul Chryst announced Wednesday.
“Based on the information I have available to me at this time, I have decided to suspend Danny Davis for the first two games of the season,” Chryst said. “Should further information become available that warrants a reevaluation of the length of the suspension, I will assess that information.”
According to the Wisconsin State Journal, Davis was present during the incident that led to sexual assault charges and against Quintez Cephus and his subsequent suspension from the team.
Davis is not currently facing charges.
During the suspension, Davis will be allowed to practice with the team, but will be unavailable for games.
