The Daily Cardinal has been a tradition at The University of Wisconsin-Madison since 1892. As the sixth oldest daily student publication in the country, and the oldest in Wisconsin, The Daily Cardinal has been with students and advertisers every step of the way. Each morning, the Cardinal reaches students when they stop by a local coffee shop, walk into lecture, meet friends at the Union, or visit us online. The latest local and national news, sports, and entertainment draws readers to the most award winning student newspaper in Madison. The Daily Cardinal distributes 10,000 issues daily, and is the only newspaper distributed at football, basketball, and hockey games. We also print various special issues each semester to reach specific student target markets.
