Suspect faces multiple charges break-in at UW students’ apartment

A Madison man who broke threatened two UW-Madison students after breaking into their apartment early Monday morning faces reckless endangerment charges. 

 

 

 

According to a Madison Police Department report, Joshua W. Rowe, 27, allegedly broke into the apartment on Pinckney Street at approximately 4:30 a.m. Monday while the two residents were sleeping. After the students awoke, the suspect allegedly took a butcher knife and threatened them. 

 

 

 

No injuries were reported.

The suspect then fled on foot, and was arrested less than an hour later on East Dayton Street. 

 

 

 

He also faces charges of criminal burglary to property, burglary and possession of marijuana.
