Besides restoring $66 million to the Forestry Department, the two sides were unable to compromise on a campaign finance reform proposal, which Republicans suggested be dealt with in a separate committee.
\We're not willing to shuttle the issue off the stage to some committee to be buried,"" Assembly Minority Leader Spencer Black, D-Madison, said.

Despite their differences, Black said they should be able to iron them out by the time the full Legislature reconvenes April 30.
