The former Majestic Theatre, 115 King St., is one step closer to becoming a night club, as the Madison City Council granted approval of a liquor license for the establishment Tuesday.
The theater, which opened in 1906, will retain its outside look but be altered inside to provide for live music, banquets and a nightclub. The new facility is scheduled to open in time for this year's New Years celebration.
