There is a problem with mold in the UW-Madison Chemistry Building, according to John Harrod, interim assistant vice chancellor for facilities, planning and management at UW-Madison.
The mold was found in the older portion of the building on a single pipe in a service area.
\We want to get it taken care of as soon as we can,"" Harrod told The Capital Times.

Classes have not been canceled or relocated due to the mold and no related illnesses have been reported, he said.
""Any time there's an issue of mold, it needs to be given serious consideration,"" Harrod said. ""It's not something that, to our knowledge, will pose a safety hazard to all users of the building.""
