The French government will honor two UW-Madison professors Thursday for their dedication and accomplishment to teaching, research and scholarship.
Gilles Bousquet, dean of international studies at the UW-Madison and David Trubek, Voss-Bascom professor of law and former dean of international studies, will be awarded the l'Ordre des Palmes Acad??miques, or the Order of Academic Palms at a ceremony officiated by the French consul in Chicago, Dominique Decherf, in Ingraham Hall at 4 p.m.
The award is given to both French citizens and those from other countries who show commitment to encouraging the extension and appreciation of French culture worldwide.
