The women's hockey team (4-0 overall) kicked off a successful weekend by trouncing Connecticut (0-4 overall) 6-0 Saturday and 4-2 Sunday in Husky territory.
Junior forward Steph Millar led the offense with two goals Saturday and an assist while freshman forward Sharon Cole notched the second goal of her collegiate career. Senior forward Kendra Antony, sophomore defender Nicole Uliasz and senior forward Michelle Sikich also netted goals for Wisconsin.
Uliasz demonstrated her talent on the ice by earning her team-leading third goal of the season. Senior defender Kerry Weiland put Wisconsin's second goal of the day into the net, her first of the season. Junior forward Meghan Hunter and sophomore forward Jackie Friesen also added goals in UW's win.
Senior goaltender Jackie MacMillan had 22 saves Sunday.
