It's Wednesday night, it's 8 p.m. and according to an e-mail that I received last week from the Registrar's Office, I am supposed to register for my spring classes. There is just one problem: The university network is down! Not only can I not receive any e-mails, but I can't sign up for any classes. This is why they should have never made the Web portal the sole option for student enrollment. There is no reason to keep the infamous \Touchtone Lady"" around as a back-up in cases such as this. Somehow, I knew this would happen.
