Al Johnson, a senior center for the Badger football team, has been named one of five finalists for the Dave Rimington Trophy.
The trophy is awarded annually to the nation's top center, and the winner will be honored Dec. 14. Rimington was a first-team all-American at Nebraska in 1981 and 1982 and won the John Outland Trophy winner for his work as an interior lineman.
Johnson was a second-team all-Big Ten pick this season and paved the way for sophomore running back Anthony Davis, also a second-team all-American. Johnson has started in 36 games, including 31 consecutive game while at Wisconsin.
