The race for the 8th district aldermanic seat has officially begun, as UW-Madison senior Austin King declared his candidacy Wednesday.
The announcement came only two days after current District 8 Ald. Todd Jarrell decided not to run for re-election due to personal reasons.
King's decision marks the second person openly running for the seat as Jeff Erlanger also has publicized his intentions for the seat.
