The Badgers fought hard against Mankato but fell in two games, losing 2-1 March 14, and 6-5 in double overtime the next night.
The two losses eliminated the Badgers (7-17-4 WCHA, 13-23-4 overall) from the first round of the Western Collegiate Hockey Association Tournament and ended their season.
