Lately, new hip-hop releases seem to have lost their original spark by trying to be too cool. The albums just have no energy and leave you with an empty feeling, wanting to go back to the golden age of hip-hop. This is where Hieroglyphics' new album comes into play. The album has far more energy packed into it than the Energizer Bunny.??

Hieroglyphics consists of Del the Funky Homosapien, Pep Love, Souls of Mischief, Casual and Domino. Each member of the group has produced quality material individually and when they come together and form the Hieroglyphics crew, the records are priceless.

It has been over six years since their premier album came out, and their new album shows that the group has improved since that time. Like , Hiero is definitely at its best when the songs are energy-packed.

Surprisingly, the crew has aged well and is able to produce meaningful songs like \Make Your Move"" and ""Maggie May.""??Another positive addition is Pep Love's improvement with his word play in lines such as, ""They say I'm like Bruce Willis / Unbreakable, Die Hard true sickness with this mic on a tripod / But I'm not Chow Yun Fat.""??

Like any album, there are negative points, but in this case they are few and far between. The biggest weakness was hearing Del try to freestyle at the end of ""Heatish,"" which shows why he is not a battle MC.

Full Circle has many different levels and is not a run-of-the-mill, braggadocio album like several that have came out lately.??It is instead an enjoyable trip through the golden era sound of hip-hop with a modern twist to it.
