The Student Service Finance Committee met Wednesday to determine the internal budget for the Associated Students of Madison, UW-Madison's student government.
The major issue debated was whether SSFC should fund salaries for ASM liaisons who update ASM representatives on issues that specific student groups are working on.

For example, a Lesbian Gay Bisexual and Transgender liaison informs ASM representatives of all LGBT-related issues in campus groups.
Without such liaisons, the responsibility of informing ASM representatives of progress would fall on members of the specific groups.
In a close vote, the SSFC voted to keep the approximately $18,000 to fund such liaisons.
