UW senior guard Sharif Chambliss was diagnosed with a tear of the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee last Tuesday.
Chambliss, who sat out this past season due to NCAA transfer rules, injured himself while the team practiced for its meeting with Richmond in the first round of the NCAA tournament.
Chambliss is currently being re-evaluated and his rehabilitation schedule is yet to be determined.
After originally being cancelled due to construction, the annual Cardinal and White spring scrimmage is back on tap.
Scheduled for 1 p.m., April 10 at La Follette High School, Badger fans will be able to get their annual offseason look at the gridiron group from UW that traditionally pits the UW first team versus the rest of the squad.

The Badger men's track squad posted four first-place finishes and two second-place finishes at the Northridge Invitational.
Darren Niedermeyer tied for first in the pole vault with a mark of 16' 4 3/4', while sophomore Jon Detmer took first in the 400-meter hurdles at 52.28.
In the 100-meter dash, Badger Demi Omole won the event in 10.49, while junior Scott Starks took fourth at 10.79 and Levonne Rowan posted a 10.98, good enough for ninth.
The Wisconsin wrestling team sent eight representitives to the national tournament, and none of them will come back to the Dairy State with any medals.
Only senior captains Ralph DeNisco (174 pounds) and Tyler Laudon (141 lbs.) were able to move on to the second day of competition. However, they both lost in their respective matches.
Badger senior golfer Malinda Johnson earned her second-best finish ever with a one-under-par 71 at the Baylor Tapatio Springs Shootout at Boerne, Texas Sunday.
Johnson's score helped vault Wisconsin to a fifth place finish in the meet, 37 shots behind Shootout victor Indiana University.
