An investigation is underway regarding an alleged stabbing at Stillwaters Bar, 250 State St., early Saturday morning. An unidentified white male reportedly suffered a non-life threatening stab wound at 2:15 a.m. The suspect, whose description was not released by the police, fled on foot after the incident.
Ald. President Mike Verveer, District 4, said there were several witnesses to the \quick altercation""and the public should not be alarmed.
Stillwaters was the site of a non-fatal shooting March 2003 in which the suspect was arrested and charged with three counts, including first-degree attempted homicide.
""I think that Stillwaters has simply had a run of bad luck as it pertains to high profile crimes occuring at or near their establishment,"" Verveer said.
