Madison police returned the search warrant filed last week for UW-Madison sophomore Audrey Seiler, according to Madison Police Sgt. Dave McCaw.
WKOW News reported the search warrant shows police believe Seiler may have committed a felony in fabricating her abduction, and it also shows she chatted with a friend on the Internet shortly before leaving her apartment.
WKOW also reported the search warrant provides no information about the data they found from searching her laptop and cell phone, which she left in her apartment before surveillance tapes recorded her leaving the building.
McCaw said Seiler may be criminally charged with obstructing an officer.
Dane County District Attorney Brian Blanchard is expected to announce today whether he will charge Seiler with a crime.
