Randy Hopper, lawyer for Audrey Seiler, met with Madison Police Department officials Tuesday to learn more about her case, according to WKOW News.
Seiler is currently in Madison with her family and under medical supervision.
\This is a family, as you've been able to see from your advantage point, who has gone from one major crisis to another and one has piled on top of the other in fact,"" Hopper told WISCTV.com. ""It's an extremely difficult time for a very good family. They're trying to work through all of this right now.""
Meanwhile, Mayor Dave Cieslewicz defended the way police handled the investigation, saying there was a real possibility of an assailant.
""We needed to position ourselves with the idea that he actually could be out there, and at the same time, we had growing doubts about whether that actually took place,"" he said.
Dane County District Attorney Brian Blanchard said he will most likely announce a decision on the Seiler case by the end of the week.
