UW senior-to-be volleyball outside hitter Marian Weidner has been named to the USA Select Team. The select team will participate in the European Spring Cup May 6-16 in Brno, Czech Republic.
The tournament features a field of 15 European national teams, including Czech Republic, Denmark, England, Finland, Spain, Switzerland, Austria, and Sweden.
Weidner, a 6-1 is a three-year letterwinner with the Badgers. She played in all 33 matches last season including starting 17. Weidner averaged 1.06 kills and 1.71 digs per game as a junior.
