Nick Barbash's column (\Republicans' slanderous election tactics help no one"") is typical of a hypocritical and ignorant liberal.
Barbash wants readers to believe that the Democrats are running an honest campaign on the issues. However, he seems to conveniently forget Democrats have been slamming Bush courtesy of star-studded Bush-Bashing fund raisers.
Barbash is the typical liberal in that he is fine dishing out insults, but when they come his way he feels the need to write an editorial condemning not negative campaigns in general but just campaigns that question the individual he supports. How fair and balanced of him. All the Republicans are doing is calling Kerry out on his senatorial record, which by even the most moderate accounts is offensive.
It is laughable that Barbash claims Republicans have no message. Mainstream polling indicates that Kerry's problem is that he has no message. His message is that he is not Bush, but I am not sure what that makes him. Kerry is not sure himself, as is indicated by his flip-flopping on issues on a weekly basis. So no matter what Barbash says in his column we can rest assured that John Kerry will not be reporting for duty anytime soon.
