After threatening weather cancelled his scheduled rally at the state Capitol in September, Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry is planning to make a return appearance to Madison next Thursday, according to Parks Superintendent Jim Morgan and Ald. Mike Verveer, District 4.
Verveer said city officials are meeting with representatives from the Kerry-Edwards campaign to finalize details of the visit. Verveer said he expects Kerry to appear on the steps of the Martin Luther King Boulevard side of the Capitol, at approximately lunch hour.
