Vice President Dick Cheney campaigned in Milwaukee Tuesday, holding a question-and-answer session that largely focused on Iraq and terrorism, according to the Associated Press.
Cheney said Americans will feel more secure about terrorist threats with President Bush in the White House than if a Democrat were president.
\What is foremost in my mind is knowing that the terrorists are going to attack again and who do I want to have standing at the door? I'd tell you it is not John Kerry and it is not John Edwards,"" he said.
Cheney said Bush's strategy on terror is working, pointing to last week's elections in Afghanistan as proof.
""Are we going to continue to pursue a strategy that I think is working, or are we going to revert back to a pre-9/11 mindset?"" he said.
Cheney's visit kicks off a busy week of campaigning in Wisconsin for both Kerry and Bush. Friday, Bush will make a stop in Oshkosh, as Kerry swings through Appleton, Sheboygan and Milwaukee. George H. W. Bush will also appear in Milwaukee.
