Football player suspended for rule violation

UW-Madison freshman Gino Cruse Jr., a defensive lineman on the university's football team, was suspended from the team after allegedly violating UW-Madison's Student-Athlete Discipline Policy Feb. 6, uwbadgers.com reported.

Cruse was immediately suspended from practice and competition and has yet to decide if he will appeal the suspension.

If Cruse chooses to appeal, the results of the procedure will be announced upon its completion. Should he opt not to appeal, Cruse's suspension will continue until the legal system or an applicable university or departmental disciplinary process addresses any charges.
