Gasoline prices are forecasted to increase 24 cents per gallon.
Fuel prices typically increase in the spring when refineries change their facilities to begin producing the summer blends of gasoline, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported Friday. However, gas prices will likely reach new highs this week based on supply fears and anxiety over the March 16 meeting of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries.
Pump prices could rise to as much as $2.30 per gallon in parts of the state, according to the Journal Sentinel.
