Five things to do this weekend

Number One: Sexual Health Fair 

 

Free and anonymous HIV testing will be available from 10 a.m.-3p.m. in the Red Gym. Also visit the climbing wall and win prizes on Library Mall from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Call 251-5126 for info. 

 

 

 

Number Two: Earth Day Rally 

 

Rep. Spencer Black, D-Madison, and Ald. Austin King, District 8, will speak on Bascom Hill at noon today, then march to the coal-fired Charter Street power plant.

Number Three: Party in the Park 

 

Listen to live bands for free at WSUM's annual outdoor concert. The party starts at 11 a.m. and will feature 11 DJs and 16 bands including Awesome Car Funmaker-the recent recipient of the Madison Area Music Award for Best Rock Artist. The party will be in James Madison Park and will end at 10 p.m. Check out www.wsum.org/partyinthepark/ for a complete band listing. 

 

 

 

Number Four: Ebony Ball 

 

A semi-formal celebration of people of color at UW-Madison will take place Saturday night from 8 p.m.-1:30 a.m. in A1 Gordon Commons. Call 262-5131 for more info. 

 

 

 

Number Five: The After Hours 

 

From 7:30 p.m.-2:30 a.m., the High Noon Saloon, 701 East Washington Ave., will feature various DJs and bands to extend the night with. The event is 21 and over and will feature Black Elephant and Soul System. The cost is $10 at the door.
