Sophomore punter Ken DeBauche's name was placed on the 2005 Ray Guy Award Watch List, the award for the top punter of the year.
The criteria for the award not only includes total and net yardage punted but also the punter's sportsmanship and leadership qualities.
In the season opener against Bowling Green, DeBauche tied his career high with a 57 yard punt. During the 2004 season, he averaged 41.8 yards per punt and nailed 17 kicks inside the opponents' 20-yard line
The first ever winner of the Ray Guy award was former Badger Kevin Stemke.
Men's Golf
Junior Garret Jones and sophomore Jeff Kaiser led the charge as the Badgers finished 14th in the Cleveland State Invitational in Chardon, Ohio.
Wisconsin shot a final round of 305 to close out the tournament yesterday morning.
Jones finished up with a 73 and tied for fourth place with a 214. Kaiser's 75 tied him for 62nd place overall with freshman Nick Engen, at 232.
The Badgers will next be in Ann Arbor at the Michigan Invitational on September 24 and 25.
Louisville won the tournament with a score of 871.
