A Springfield, Ill., lawyer was unsuccessful in his petition to the judge to have his client tried for DUI-reckless homicide under a false name.
He was concerned the jury just could not be fair if it knew her real name, which is Doris Lush. She was, in fact convicted.
Another woman who might have a similar problem is Denise Coke, 25, who was charged with possession of 33 pounds of cocaine (Roseville, Mich.).
