A lack of errors was not the only thing that differentiated the Associated Students of Madison's third candidate election attempt from their two previous tries.
According to an ASM release, only 3 percent of the student body cast their ballots in the latest election, which, unlike the previous two attempts, used paper ballots. This number is significantly lower than the 15 percent who turned out after the just first day of the original election, which was thrown out due to electronic errors.
According to an ASM release, the preliminary results of the latest election will be announced Monday.
Though the numbers were low, we thank students for supporting their candidates and getting the vote in this election,\ ASM Student Election Chair Tim Leonard said in the release.
