A 30-year-old woman was sexually assaulted in her own apartment Thursday in the town of Madison, according to police.
Town of Madison police said the victim did not know the man who assaulted her and that he forced his way into her place. The woman was reportedly waiting for a friend to visit her when the suspect—a possible Asian or Hispanic male in his mid-20s—found his way into the building and proceeded to follow the woman around the complex.
According to police, once the suspect forcibly gained entrance to the victim's room, he ""overpowered"" and then sexually assaulted her.
The incident took place on Pheasant Ridge Trail in the town of Madison, located just south of the Beltline and Park Street.
