A Madison homeless man allegedly exposed himself to an 11-year-old girl Friday afternoon at East Wash Laundry on East Washington Avenue.
According to a police report, the girl and her mother were washing laundry when the man reportedly started bothering them. While the mother was not looking, the suspect pulled out his private parts and started playing with himself in front of her, the girl said.
After the girl told her mother about the incident, the mother confronted the suspect. The man ran off after being approached by the woman, but officers were able to locate him as he walked down East Washington Avenue.
The suspect, Napoleon Hamilton, 54, had been drinking and indicated he is homeless and has been in Madison about six months. Hamilton was arrested and tentatively charged with causing a child to view or listen to sexual activity.
