This is the second robbery in less than a week at the Clark gas station located at 1129 S. Park St.
According to a police report, the suspect entered the gas station around 4:45 p.m. and demanded money from the store clerk. The employee gave the robber an undisclosed amount of money after he reportedly announced he had a weapon.
The suspect matches the description of a person who has committed other armed robberies on the east and south side of the city. In each instance, the man has announced he has a handgun or has shown one.
The ""parka bandit"" is believed to be responsible for five gas station robberies since March 2. He is described as a male, wearing a black hooded puffy coat reaching mid-thigh. He is said to be around 5'8' to 5'10'.
