Glover pleads guilty to burglarizing dorm

Former UW-Madison basketball player Jeremy Glover pleaded guilty Thursday to burglarizing a Sellery Hall dorm room in early September, according to the Dane County Circuit Court.

Dane County Circuit Judge Sarah O'Brien accepted Glover's plea and placed him in the First Offender Program in the District Attorney's office.

According to the criminal complaint, Glover and former teammate Diamond Taylor stole several iPods and cell phones, as well as almost $500 in cash on Sept. 6 from multiple dorm rooms in the building.

According to the complaint, Glover and Taylor were involved in another burglary incident in a private dorm building on Langdon Street that night.

The complaint said Glover and Taylor admitted to drinking alcohol at a party before making the decision to burglarize the dorm rooms.

According to the circuit court records, Taylor pleaded guilty in a hearing earlier this month and was placed in the First Offender Program as well.

Glover, who was a walk-on from Haymarket, Va., still attends UW-Madison, although he no longer plays on the men's basketball team. Taylor, who was a recruit from Bollingbrook, Ill., dropped out after the incident and now attends and plays basketball at Southern Illinois University.
