Scott Paterick, a financial advisor from Wisconsin Rapids, announced he filed to run as a Republican candidate in the 2010 gubernatorial election Thursday.
Paterick, who joins Republican frontrunners Milwaukee County Executive Scott Walker and former congressman Mark Neumann, previously served as an alderman in Wisconsin Rapids and currently works as an advisor at The Investor's Choice.

""My decision to run for Wisconsin Governor is based on a deep desire to give back to my community as well as my state,"" he said in a statement.
If elected, Paterick said his number one priority is job creation and said he would focus on reforming how taxes are invested in various programs.
