A body found Sunday in Lake Mendota was identified as Sarah E. Carpenter, 30, Monday by the Dane County Coroner's Office.
The autopsy of the body was completed Monday. According to Dane County Coroner Barry Irmen the autopsy findings are consistent with fresh-water drowning.
Irmen also said the autopsy also ruled out any injuries or trauma.
Carpenter was reported missing June 29. She was last seen going underwater while swimming with friends according to the Wisconsin State Journal.
