Multiple rounds of live ammunition were also recovered from public stairways and in a public bathroom at the City County Building— 211 S. Carroll St.—Madison Police Department spokesperson Joel DeSpain said.

DeSpain said Madison police found the bullets around noon Thursday.

""There have been no specific threats to anyone working inside the City County Building,"" DeSpain said in a statement.

It has not yet been determined who may have dropped or placed the bullets inside the City County building, DeSpain said.

Authorities have not yet said if there is a connection between the two incidents.

The Madison Police Department is still investigating the incident at the City County Building.
