A 19-year-old Madison woman lost consciousness after a man struck her in the face and broke her nose in a downtown bar early Sunday morning.
Police responded to a call at 1:19 a.m. on Sunday to Segredo, 624 University Avenue, according to Madison Police Department spokesperson Joel DeSpain.
The woman said a man “struck her once in the face,” while her friend was fighting with another woman in the bar, according to DeSpain.
Police said she was taken to a hospital where she was treated for the injuries. according to Lt. Pat Malloy.
The first incident, which occurred around 12:30 a.m. on the 300 block of West Johnson Street, involved a 22-year-old.
