Police arrested four suspects for substantial battery after they allegedly attacked a 49-year-old man on the 1200 block of Williamson Street early Friday morning.
The victim said in a statement the four men demanded he give up his wallet before they knocked him to the ground, according to Madison Police Department spokesperson Joel DeSpain.
A witness told police the suspects were “taking turns” kicking and punching the man and “really wailing on him,” according to the police report.
After receiving a description of the alleged muggers and their getaway car’s license plate number, a Capitol Police officer pulled over a dark blue Dodge Intrepid and arrested Dustan Oasen, Christopher and Nicholas McQueen and Wali Muldrow for substantial battery party to a crime.
DeSpain said in a statement the victim was taken to a hospital with a broken nose.
The McQueen brothers were also charged in June with offenses including disorderly conduct and obstructing police in connection to a May shooting on University Avenue.
