UW to offer counseling to students affected by Hurricane Sandy

In the midst of the devastation caused by Hurricane Sandy on the East Coast, the Dean of Students office will offer assistance to any student for any academic or other issues they may be facing.

The hurricane made landfall on the East Coast Monday night and has caused millions of dollars in damage, as well as affected numerous students with friends and family in those areas.

Dean of Students Lori Berquam will be contacting all students from the Eastern Seaboard who may be affected to make sure they stay in contact with their families, as well as encourage them to develop alternate methods of communications in case conventional methods are unavailable.

If any students are in need of assistance, they are encouraged to contact the Division of Student Life at (608) 263-5700 and ask for the Dean on Call.

Additionally, counseling and crisis support are available at University Health Services for any students affected by the incident or any other situation.
