City officials declared a snow emergency in Madison Wednesday that will last until at least 7 a.m. Feb. 1 and are urging residents to move vehicles off the streets.
The city is offering free parking on all city ramps between 9 p.m. and 7 a.m. while the snow emergency is in effect. However, charges will apply if vehicle owners do not move their cars off the ramp before 7 a.m.
Additionally, the city is asking Madison drivers to park their cars on the side of the street with odd numbered addresses both Wednesday and Thursday nights, adding that any violators will be either fined $60 or towed.
