An intoxicated, middle-aged man stepped into traffic on the corner of North Park and West Johnson Streets just outside Grainger hall at approximately 7:40 p.m. Monday, according to Madison police.
The man, 56, was intoxicated when he stepped into traffic and got hit by a pickup truck.
According to MPD spokesperson Joel DeSpain, the man told police that he had been drinking at a local bar and was walking home.
Paramedics took him to the hospital to be treated for minor injuries.
He will be cited for failing to yield to traffic, according to police.
