Reince Priebus, a Wisconsin native, drew praise from Wisconsin Republicans Friday after he won reelection to the position of Chairman for the Republican National Committee.
Priebus has served as chair for the past two years and, according to releases from state Republicans and organizations, he has been a leader for the Republican Party, specifically by helping the national party with its debt.
Brad Courtney, released a statement on behalf of the Wisconsin Republican Party shortly after the news broke Friday.
“It is with great pride that I send heartfelt congratulations to my friend and former RPW Chairman Reince Priebus on his successful re-election to head our national Party for another two years,” Courtney said in the statement.
The Walker Campaign also released a statement thanking Priebus for his strong leadership both in Wisconsin and nationally.
“His sound leadership is an asset to our future success and I look forward to our continued partnership in the years ahead,” the Walker Campaign said in the statement.
