The city declared a snow emergency in effect in Madison until at least 7 a.m. March 1.
City officials will enforce alternative parking for the duration of the snow emergency, which requires vehicles be parked on the side of the street with even numbered addresses on Wednesday evening and odd numbered addresses on Thursday night.
Violators could face fine up to $60 or have their vehicle towed.
The city offers free parking on city ramps from 9 p.m. until 7 a.m. while the snow emergency is in effect.
