Three men sexually assaulted a 22-year-old female Madison resident on West Mifflin Street early Saturday morning, according to a police report.
The woman was walking home alone at approximately 1 a.m. after drinking at a downtown bar when three men approached her on the 200 block of West Mifflin St., according to the report.
Madison Police Department spokesperson Joel DeSpain said the woman recognized the men and believes they followed her from the bar.
One of the three men allegedly pushed her to the ground and groped her over her clothing, which DeSpain said constitutes a fourth-degree sexual assault of “indecent-type touching.”
DeSpain said the woman remembered falling down and a man touching her inappropriately but could not recall other details when she was found on the sidewalk.
