The School of Human Ecology and the Wisconsin School of Business opened a collaborative laboratory Tuesday to create a research and learning community at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, according to a university statement.
The lab, named the Behavioral Research Insights Through Experiments, is located in Nancy Nicholas Hall and will allow members of both schools to work together to conduct behavioral research, according to the statement.
Associate professor at the business school Brian Mayhew will serve as the lab’s faculty director and will use the lab to continue his research examining people’s economic decisions, the statement said.
“This opening represents years of work to create a cross-campus collaborative space,” Mayhew said in the statement. “We hope that through the shared space, faculty can learn from each other’s research and thought leadership.”
