Democratic state legislators scheduled an April 23 budget hearing in Madison to hear public opinion on Gov. Scott Walker’s biennial budget.
The Democratic members of the Joint Finance Committee, in conjunction with Madison-area legislators, planned the budget hearing because they said the four previous officially scheduled hearing sessions generated feedback from less populated areas in the state.
The Madison hearing is one of 10 budget listening sessions that Democrats scheduled throughout the state.
The hearing will be held at Black Hawk Middle School from 4-7 p.m.
Interested speakers will be allotted two to three minutes, in order to accommodate as many presenters as possible.
