The Dane County Medical Examiner’s Office identified a body found in Warner Park lagoon on the northeast side Friday as 55-year-old Madison man Calvin Ewing, according to a press release.
The Madison Police Department reported a child saw the body, fully clothed, floating in the water about eight feet from the shore while fishing Friday afternoon.
At approximately 4:20 p.m. Saturday, the Dane County Medical Examiner’s office released the name of the victim along with the preliminary autopsy results, which show Ewing died as a result of drowning.
According to the release, the Medical Examiner’s Office will perform additional tests before making a final ruling on the cause of death.
