The University of Wisconsin-Madison announced Benjamin Miller, a former UW-Madison employee, will replace Rhonda Norsetter as the university’s federal relations director, according to a university release.
Miller will serve in the position, which works with federal agencies and assists faculty located in the Washington, D.C., area, for six months following Norsetter’s retirement.
During his term, Miller plans on monitoring the conversation over college affordability, the 2014 budget and the impacts of the national sequester.
Miller formerly served at the university as an associate dean for external relations for the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences, and chief of staff to the vice chancellor for university relations. He also worked as an aide to former U.S. Sen. Herb Kohl.
