The victims of a robbery at gunpoint in a Vilas Avenue apartment Sunday night were confirmed to be University of Wisconsin-Madison students, according to a university release.
At approximately 11:13 p.m. two African-American males in their late teens to early twenties entered an apartment on the 1200 block of Vilas Ave. and held the three UW-Madison students inside at gunpoint, according to Madison Police Department Lt. Marianne Flynn Statz.
One of the suspects pulled out a black semi-automatic handgun and ordered the students to the ground, according to the report. None of the victims were injured in the robbery, but the suspects stole a variety of electronics before leaving the apartment.
UW-Madison police urge students to always lock their doors while they are in their living spaces or not, and to never allow unknown people to enter the building, according to the release.
Anyone with information on the robbery is asked to contact UWPD.
